| To turn one's face in the direction of the Ka'bah does not mean that wherever a man might be he should turn to the Ka'bah with absolute accuracy | We will surely turn you to a qiblah of your liking: so turn your face towards the Holy Mosque, and wherever you may be, turn your faces towards it! 20| And now verily We shall make thee turn in prayer toward a qiblah which is dear to thee | Melayu - Basmeih : Kerap kali Kami melihat engkau wahai Muhammad berulangulang menengadah ke langit maka Kami benarkan engkau berpaling mengadap kiblat yang engkau sukai Oleh itu palingkanlah mukamu ke arah masjid AlHaraam tempat letaknya Kaabah; dan di mana sahaja kamu berada maka hadapkanlah muka kamu ke arahnya Dan sesungguhnya orangorang Yahudi dan Nasrani yang telah diberikan Kitab mereka mengetahui bahawa perkara berkiblat ke Kaabah itu adalah perintah yang benar dari Tuhan mereka; dan Allah tidak sekalikali lalai akan apa yang mereka lakukan• Dan sesungguhnya orang-orang yang diberi Alkitab sama mengetahui bahwa itu maksudnya pemindahan kiblat ke arah Kakbah benar tidak disangsikan lagi dari Tuhan mereka karena di dalam kitab-kitab suci mereka dinyatakan bahwa di antara ciri-ciri Nabi saw |

People had completed one rak'ah when they heard the announcement about the change of direction and the entire congregation immediately faced the new qiblah.
